Snap Bracelets

ere’s another bracelet that is pretty easy to make. It does require a few more materials than the other one, but it’s a great gift for any crafter or sewer in your life!

What you’ll need:

  • Lobster claw clasp

  • Snaps

  • Jump rings

  • Chain

  • Pliers

Let’s put one together!

  • Start by figuring out what you want your bracelet to look like with the snaps – how many jump rings you want between them, how many snaps you’ll want, etc. Laying out your bracelet design first allows you to get a good sense of how it will look at the end result.

  • Attach the lobster claw clasp to the first jump ring. The easiest way to open and close a jump ring is to grasp it at opposite sides with the opening at the top and gently twist one hand away from you. This helps keep the shape of the ring.

  • Attach your jump rings between your snaps until all the snaps are attached.

  • Attach your chain to the end and trim the length you need so the bracelet fits comfortably on your wrist. Finish the chain with another jump ring. The jump ring will secure to the lobster claw clasp.

  • Attach another length of chain with and a snap on the end for a bit of decoration.

What are some other things you can use instead of snaps to make a bracelet? I’d love to see your designs!
