Toilet Paper Tube Caddy

When the whole Toilet Paper Debacle erupted earlier this year and people swarmed over the illusive white squares, I don't think much thought was given towards what to do with the leftover cardboard tubes. But, I've got a great idea! And, it uses more than just those toilet paper tubes! It can also use paper towel tubes and Amazon boxes! (I hope I'm not the only one who spent more time than necessary perusing Amazon's virtual shelves buying things I really did not need during quarantine...)

That being said, let's check out what you'll need:

  • Toilet paper tubes (or any other type of cardboard tube - paper towels, gift wrap, etc.)

  • Small cardboard box (from one of many unneeded Amazon purchases)

  • Decorative paper or Paint

  • Glue

  • Burlap, twine, or other decorative accessories (optional)

As for the steps to put it together...

  • Arrange your cardboard tubes in the box, then measure and cut them to size.

  • Cover both the rolls and the box with decorative paper or paint.

  • If you want to add additional accessories to your tubes, like burlap, twine, or stickers, do that now!

  • Glue your cardboard tubes into the box.

  • Add supplies!

You're done! Now your desk can be less cluttered, hopefully leading to a more productive school or work experience! Or, your makeup supplies can find a home outside of a bathroom drawer. Could you use it in a craft or art room? What other ways would you want to use your new caddy? Upload pictures here and let us see your creative organization!
